The Word “Orientated”

Thursday, 4 December, 2008

Really, word made defunct by the word “oriented”?

Don’t give me your “Oh, but they’re both correct!”, that’s loser-speak. America’s time and thought is being wasted on stupid words. When are we going to put our collective foot down?

You know who would love a word like this? My Dad. He also says “yourselth” regularly and lets you know that “the fact of the matter is…” at least 400 times a week.

What’s it going to be, people? Do you want to keep saying unnecessarily long and outdated words because people in tights who wrote with feathers used to or are we ready for English 2.0? Let’s get convenience-oriented and spend some of that time we saved on embracing the future.

Rly.
